I walked into town this lunchtime and actually remembered to take the camera with me. The sun was straight into the camera in most locations but I did manage to take these three photos of the Maud Foster Windmill and adjacent Bargate Drain. The Maud Foster Mill is one of the largest working mills in England, and unfortunately it was working today which is why the sails are facing away from the camera!

What does the mill do when it's working......pump water? They mill wheat to make flour caveman..... www.maudfoster.co.uk/The only drawback is that a 1.5kg bag of organic flour costs something in the region of $5.50!! On the other hand it lasts longer than supermarket flour and doesn't get those little black weevils that you sometimes find in supermarket bought flour that has been in the house for a while.

I'm told that the farmers would travel for miles to have their corn and wheat ground.
