To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & Like to Complain About Our Pets: 1. They live here. You don't. 2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. (That's why they call it "fur"niture.) 3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people. 4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly. And, Remember: Dogs and cats are better than kids because they: 1. Eat less 2. Don't ask for money all the time **** 3 Are easier to train 4. Normally come when called **** 5. Never ask to drive the car 6. Don't hang out with drug-using friends 7. Don't smoke or drink 8. Don't have to buy the latest fashions 9. Don't need a gazillion dollars for college, and... 10. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children. 11. Finally, most pets are not nearly as noisy, dirty or annoying as children

Yes! I am an animal lover, too. And, when my 'poo' was still alive, i had a couple of friends that I had to inform about the 'rights" of my pet in "her" own home. I tried to be nice, nicer than they were, but it still made them angry. I found that they did not care if they offended me by belittling my pet., i finally told one friend that not only did she offend me by her comments, but she offended my dog, too. My little dog, who loved absolutely everyone, did not understand why this woman was so mean and rude. I told her that it was no different than her making comments about my children. She didn't visit very often after that.

Best dog I ever had was a German Shepherd. Ol' Smoky was smarter and better behaved than a lot of people. He's been gone over the Rainbow Bridge many, many, many years....

Our cats seem to know when not to trust certain people. They must have better judgement then us!

Well said! When my friends with kids 'boo-hoo' about what problem or another they're having I just smile inside and think "and you ask me why I dont have any kids".

I see your point. One thing I'd like to say: I went to stay at my sister's house with my other sister. My sister has a cat. She set my other sister and I in the bedroom that the cat uses. In other words, the cat's liter box was in that room. Well my sister and I went to bed, and of course after all the laughter and cutting' up we did, we started to settle down to sleep. Neither one of us could sleep cuz the litter box stunk so bad, it was actually hard to breath! I don't mind cats at all in fact I have 6 cats. But I think my sister should of cleaned the litter box before she stuck us in there! Don't you? or should we just have to "Put up" with the stink? We didn't, we moved the cat's litter box out side of the bedroom, then stuck the cat out there too! Then the next morning we moved the box back into the room. Our sister never knew we did it. But we have never gone back to stay over night there either, cuz of the cat's litter box that stuck so bad! I have gone to other people's homes with cats, and never smell the litter box.

I agree with you Penny! I have 2 cats in the house too, and I scoop out the poo at least 2 times a day if not more. I would hope that someone could smell the litter box , that they would tell me, and I would take care of it right away! We didn't tell my sister because she is the type who would take it wrong and there would of been a big to-do about it. We wanted to avoid that! Hear that Laura!!! you gotta tell me if you can ever smell the cat litter box at my house!

Pets mean alot to their owners otherwise we wouldnt have them. Of course some of ours were donated they love to be around us & to be petted. They are like cat-dogs. I had a problem with Morris, it had to be the food he was eating cuz boy did his box smell. Now he only eats dry food & once in a while he will get a bite of human food. Chicken & Turkey being 2 of his favs.. So only dry food for him & all is well..
