Our neighbor's sow freaked out during a thunderstorm and killed all but 2 of her babies. As soon as the remaining 2(both female) are on solid food(about another 2 weeks) he is wanting to help us with fencing and food if we take care of them and once they get big enough- we get one-he gets one. Is this a good deal, or should we chalk it up to learning and do it anyway? I wanted to do a pig or two, but was going to wait until next year.

He is helping for sure with the fencing(I think we have enough materials, but any extras he would buy) and will help with the actual construction of it. Plus, he has acres and acres of gardens to offer "leftovers" from as far as feed goes- I think he is gonna help with dry feed also, but I am not sure....

I'd go for it. Only thing is I'd like to write it all out on paper of what both parties will do and not do....just so there is no hard feelings in the end..just in case somethin' would come up...you know what I mean?
