These are my helpers. The big black one and small white one love my beans, peas and cherry maters. They will self-serve if they can get away with it. We give them the bigger beans and peas we miss when picking. All 4 are from the same litter, believe it or not. The big white one is Tank, my stud-boy. His specialty is parking his big butt on my daffodils. The brown spotted one Tessa, is the pyscho tennis ball dog. She has a crystal blue eye and a brown eye. Mother was a purebred black lab. The father was half black lab and aussie. She got all the aussie.Tank and Tessa are ours. My son owns the black one Marley and Bella the small white one. Marley is kind of a stoner. I named him. He is a special dog. He watches the kids well and they climb all over him with no complaints. Bella is the food expert and everybodies favorite. They basically live here most of the time. They get dropped off at 6:30 a.m when my son goes to work. They get picked up at 8 p.m. to go home. Man, does he have it made, huh? Well, not really. He works hard and has 4 kids who are 2,4,6,and 8. So, we watch the dogs when we can. They love it here. 2 acres fenced to run around, their own pool, nice beds in front of the wood stove when wet and tired.

Those are mighty fine looking dogs. Don't look like they've missed a meal (or snack). I love dogs. Well, I love animals, but I really like dogs. Can't wait to get a fence around my acre so I can have me a big ole dog to watch over us, and be company to us.

Those are some beautiful dogs!! Very healthy looking. My dogs also love green beans. I read that those are one of the best things you can give them in place of store bought dog treats, if you don't bake your own. Good for you for sitting for the dogs everyday, that's such a wonderful thing to do. It's nice they have someone to hang out with so they aren't lonely while your son is at work.

Thanks! If you guys had any idea how long I had to wait to get all the dogs calm and in the same spot at the same time to take those pics. As soon as they see me heading towards them, they move, thinking it is play time. It gets better. My daughter drops her lab Sadie off at 7 a.m. every day to add to Dave's doggy day care. She is a teacher. Sadie is a 1 year old english yellow lab and she is full of it. So, at 5 p.m. Sadie lets everybody know it is time to get out of their compound we call jail to play ball for an hour and run, run, and run some more. Good times. She is still very klutzy and is a riot to watch her chasing the ball. She hasn't figured out how to slow down before she gets there and most of the time ends up sliding past it while the other dogs following her grab it.

Oooohhh! The garden labs are lucky I didn't see them at play on Saturday. My grandkids took me fishing in the morning. It was cold and we came home at lunchtime. The dogs must have been bored because out of the 2 birch trees I planted on arbor day, they are now down to 1 birch tree left. They ate one of them. Thankfully I put a fence around the second one. Why didn't I think of that for the other one? Somebody would have got a spanking', but nobody's fessin' up.

I busted Tank yesterday morning. I was walking to the back yard to spin the compostumbler and spotted him standing in the outside garden flower bed self-serving on sugar snap peas. An area 4' wide from bed up to 3 feet was just leaves and stalks. He did break off one stalk. Most of the peas grow on the inside of the fence, but he found the stash on the outside.

That is a great looking garden crew, oh2fly! Labs are such friendly pups that you can't help but love 'em. My neighbor had a lab, but ate something he shouldn't have. He had to be put down. I sure do miss Boscoe's friendly mug when I am outside.
