Disturbed Just wonderin..since there are ALOT of CAT owner's here..EAR MITE'S..how do you get rid of them? Poor cat has them & all he does is constantly shake his head & scratch. I got something from the store but it seem's to not be doing anything. Phil says alachol & proxide?? :4-dontkno :4-dontkno

poor thing!! i found this that you could try anyway.
Eliminate ear mites... All it takes is a few drops of Wesson corn oil in your cat's ear. Massage it in, then clean with a cotton ball. Repeat daily for 3 days. The oil soothes the cat's skin, smothers the mites, and accelerates healing.

Laura, I use Mitex--I think I got it at one of the big pet stores. You have to put it in every day for from 7 to 10 days, then repeat in two weeks, if needed. My vet recommended it to me years ago. Be aware, cats DO NOT like this treatment--they run circles for a while, trying to get that stuff out of their ears. But it does clear the mites up. A bad infestation of ear mites will drag the cat (or kitten) down, making them more suseptible to infections. And, believe it or not, if you snuggle the cat very much, you can get them too.

:boese3: To the ear mite's. Got rid of them thank's to the Vet. He gave Lil Morris a one time treatment & NO MORE MITES!! 2head 2head Thumb Thumb Angel Angel So now our Lil Angel is doing GREAT!! He is playfull now & just 100% better!! :party: :party: :party:
