I know that not everyone is fond of the four-legged little fur ball's but they are just so comforting. Purring and curling up on your lap like they do. We had a new one here Sunday to get a bite to eat. He is alot like my indoor cat. Same little meow and lighter in color. But real FRIENDLY. I sat on the porch and he curled up in my lap. So they aren't all bad. I have always been an animal person. ;D

I have always had cats. We had 2 that were littermates that were around 20lbs each. Had to put both down due to Diabeties. They were around 16 years old.
Move here 2 years ago. A cat desided to put her kittens in our yard, just newborns and the Dog chased her away twice. So we had to adopt them, feeding with syringes then bottles. We kept 2 and gave the others away.
Wife wanted a dog so she got one.
Thats a brief starter about my critters ;DTEXT

;D Yeah I guess I am like Ellie May. Id keep EVERYTHING that walked into the YARD ifin I could. Except the lil stinkers we have here. And maybe they wouldnt be so bad either. They are cute and no doubt soft with the long BLACK & WHITE FUR THEY HAVE. Always been a fan of the furry animals.

i am like that too. i am not sure of the final count on the cat population some where are 20. they don't get to come in the house though. our big gray queen thinks she's bethanys mom she tries to keep her from getting on the school bus in the morning she greets her every day after school. went nuts when bethany was in the combine the other day

;D I just LOVE the little gray and white one. I have had solid gray cats before and they were all CRAZY & Down right EVIL. Too the point I couldnt take it with her in my place any more. She was peeling paint off my walls with her claws. Going after my other cat NON-STOP. She would attack him all the time. So I often wonder if it is in ALL THE GRAY CATS TO BE MEAN ?? Other wise any other color cat is fine with me as long as it isnt GRAY. Laura

;D The pic. you can almost see here is the one of my Little Cat. Which is her name. She ventured out of the corn crib this morning. Even with the DOG LOOSE. So she either didn't see him or know he is out there?? Or she just couldn't wait for something to eat. She is a Happy Cat. Laura

I used to have a grey cat named Monster. LOL He'd get outside and his fur would glow I swear!! I didn't get to keep him very long though....we have one now, found him abandoned, poor lil thing....he was sick, so I took him to the vet, and decided that well, I "paid" for him so I'm keeping him! Against my wishes, he became an "outdoor, come home when cold or hungry" cat. He's my buddy.

we have so many cats that come and go on this farm. we have one big black tom that is scared of every one but bethany she carries him all over the farm. i managed to save some of this years kittens we have distemper or something that gets most of them as soon as they stop nursing i put antibotics in their food when they started getting sick out of 20 kittens usually only one doesn't get six i managed to save 5 of them. i wish cats had birth control you could just put in their food. it's hard to watch the kittens get sick every year. but that is natures way of population control we maintain an average of 15-20 cats at any given time sometime more and sometimes less. they all have names!!

;D I pretty much give the cats here a name by color. Little gray, evil one, which is black. She cornered my little cat when I first put her outside. Guess she didnt like the fact there was/is another female cat here. Not long ago Little Cat chased her away so what goes around comes around. Morris is the indoor cat. he has several names. His real name is Clarence. Because he is cross eyed. Then there is Yetti. Phils cat from years ago. He has huge feet. I think Little Gray is his daughter. Same fur, same eyes, but she is terribly shy.

oh laura i'm sorry to hear that!! our smokey knows our vehicles or so she thinks she'll run across the road ahead of us because she knows we are going to turn. i'm suprized we haven't run over more of them. or the school bus driver smokey greets bethany after school like a dog. accually that cat thinks she's bethany's mom. you know that special call the mamas use to call kittens? thats what she does when she's looking for my daughter

if you have food sitting out winter will bring them to your house. remember the coyote and sheep dog cartoons? thats kind of what our tom cats are like. they will sleep to gather when it's cold but fight to the death when it warms up.

Cats tend to do their own thing and can disappear for days Laura. There is a reason they say cats have 9 lives! Be patient and try not to worry.
