lola phunny bunny decided that she was being neglected, by two young ladies that will remain anonamous..and it really was just too hot where her pen was soshe left to find some shade.. i always knew that she could get out if she wanted to, after a day i saw her.. or i should say she came out to say hello.., she seemed fine and i knew it was just to darn hot for any critters to try and run her down and eat her so i just left her out. she'd come out of her hidding place and visit me in the garden every once in a while.. i've been feeding her peas so of coarse she found those right away..
i moved her pen to a nice shady spot near where she'd been staying and sat under the tree untill she came to see me, then i put her back in the pen.. i really hated to, she was doing great just running loose, in fact she met a friend, not the kind you'd think but a poor hungry tom cat that probally got chased off his farm.. he looks just like our smokey cat, anyway they were sitting togather under an old trailer in the grove.. i saw her go under there so i walked over there and i heard meowing.. i'm thinkin " now wait a minute.... ;D ;D
just another day in the life

Well, I'm glad she is back where she belongs. I know it'd be cool to let her be, but ya know, she prolly don't know the diff between a fox and a tom, so I bet ya did the right thing! (it'll keep her outta yer garden too!)

Just a little tip on keeping bunnies cool...I have an old box fan sitting on a chair so it is high enough to blow into the hutch for Tyler. I also keep an old curtain stapled to the front to let down in the afternoon so the sun won't hit him on top of all the heat.
I wouldn't leave her out at night especially. Predators have a way of finding prey, like russian roullette...eventually your number is up. Just my 2 cents, which is about to be worth no cents if they do away with pennies...lol.

BWAAHAAHAA!! I had a rabbit that thought it was a cat, chased our white cat all over th place and tried to mate with it, funny, that cat never even raised a claw at him....specially odd since the white cat was a male too but the nicest durn fella you could ever want to meet except to other male cats....
