Optimum Germination Temperatures [/size][/b] The following ideal temperatures and ranges for best seed germination come from two seed catalogues – Johnny’s (J) and Territorial (T). They are mostly in agreement, with a few exceptions. Temperatures are degrees Fahrenheit. ARTICHOKE. J. 70-80. you know, JT, until some of you (can't remember who) talked about using a water bed heater for seed starting, i never really gave it much thought..since then, i've used my heating pad on low, but it turns itself off after 30 minutes...i usually manage to remember to restart it about 3-4 times a day...however, i still think that i've noticed an improvement in germinating time (except for yellow pear cherry tomatoes--what is the deal with them?)...between now and next year i'm going to try and locate some type of heating...even in the house my phlats are not optimum temp.
anyway, thanks for the info...i'm bookmarking this thread...

I have a cup warmer I use to keep my seed swarm has high and low as well as off switch works good for me cost me $5.00 about 4 years ago . Got it to keep my coffee hot working grave yard shift as dispatcher.
