I have a pot of impatients that I put in the house back last fall. They are still blooming but have taken a spindle look. Are you suppose to cut them back? I don't want to kill them. They are about 2 foot tall now.

When i overwinter mine I dont cut them back. But, you can take some cuttings, just be sure the stem that you leave has some leaves so it will survive. Root the cuttings in water for more plants for the garden in spring.

I find that they're one ogf the most forgiving plants to work with.
