So I got this charger. One claim is that it will revive dead NiMh rechargeable batteries. So I had a couple dead ones. Charger saw no voltage so wouldnt kick in.Put it in my old 'dumb' charger and took a couple minute charge.POOF,new 'smart' charger recognized it!. Put in refresh mode, took 2 days of charge/recharge cycles and brought it up to 3/4 of new capacity, amazing!!!!! Another nice feature is it can charge a single battery,or 2,or 3 or 4 at a time, and it can charge AAA and AA at same time. Also has 3 recharge rates...200ma,500 ma,and 700 ma. So you can chose how fast it recharges.Slower charges increases lifespan, but I go with 700.My 1800ma AA batteries recharge in about 2.5 hours. This is an excellent item! This type of 'smart' charger is the key to getting the very high recharge life cycles out of your batteries. La Crosse Technology BC-700 Alpha Power Battery Charger ---------------------------------------------------------- I ordered this charger, very good price at 29.95. www.amazon.com/Crosse-Technology-BC-700-Battery-Charger/dp/B000RSOV50/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1296305027&sr=1-1.....
