From the looks of him, we already have those here. DE should do a lot of damage to the adults, soap spray is what I'd try on the egg clusters and young 'uns plus hand-picking. Good luck to all gardeners in 2012, it's a constant battle with the bugs, but we can win!

well I don't know ifin they this actual type of stink bug, but we do have stink bugs...never noticed the white spots...always have seen these though, for many years... As for them entering the house...ain't seen any inside those Asian Lady beetles probably guard all the entrances here

From what I understand these guys were introduced allegedly in Reading, PA. They come from Korea. They tend to hang out on tan walls that face the south. Over the past years, last year was the worst. I am not sure if it is due to the mild winter. We have had success with a general pesticide(if you go organic I have used a vacuum). But you need to spray them. Residuals don't work. Last year I posted an article pharmerphil.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=probs&action=display&thread=14079. If you squash them they attract more. What I have done is suck them up, double bag them and have had great success.
