JC, this is the recipe I use they are good. I don't care for thick dumplings. CF This amount of dumplings makes 6 to 8 servings and will only require about 1/2 of the chicken. 3 cups of flour 3 eggs 1 tablespoon of salt 1/3 cup of milk (you may not need all of this) Mix the salt into the flour, add the eggs and begin to mix together. Add some milk and continue to mix until the dough comes together. Knead until smooth and let it rest about 10 minutes. Knead again for about 3 minutes and rest a second time for 5 minutes. Roll out the dough and let rest about 15 or 20 minutes. Cut to size, then dust with flour.

I made a big pot of split pea soup......man, talk about good. 2706 We have split pea canned from a month or so ago, I might just brake some out for tonight. w8infordave: sorry to hear you are feeling so bad from that bacon, but I have a rule, if it smells funny or looks a little off or slimy,it goes in the garbage. OR when in doubt throw it out. Spoiled food is my biggest concern, especially me because I have a very sensitive stomach. Take care and feel better.

The Bacon was fresh from the meat market, I think it may of had High Fructose Corn Syrup in it. I thought maby buying it from the meat counter it would of been better quality. It was really good taste wise but ughhh hit me like a ton of rocks!

w8in, if the possibility of 1 snow flurry is mentioned here the stores are full of crazy people. What do people think they're going to do with bread and milk in a blizzard? Why not something like peanut butter and tuna fish.
Tonight was ham steak, boiled potatoes, corn.

Look at the dooms day preparers, they think a years worth of food will save them. Are you me?? We made chicken breasts in a tomato mushroom white whine cream sauce with egg less noodles. It was good....our own concoction.
