Busy, busy time.....due to crazy weather, all the fruit is lost from a freeze...thought we would lose the garden as well this week, but clouds appeared and kept the temp at 35 degrees, so we made it.....got too lazy to keep trying to log in....for some reason, did not want to listen to who I am....LOL...but after about 7 tries today, I am who I am...kept up with all of you...was just a guest....LOL...we planted yellow pear tomatoes yesterday...the onions are doing great...new asparagus bed is up and the young ferns are so pretty...have a great week, we will have warm temps, and get okra planted this week...

Sorry to hear about your freeze damage, Gran. So what will you do to improve the situation? Were the fruit trees apple or stone fruits? Some varieties do bloom later, of course there's a trade-off...they bear later too. For a home orchard it's not so bad as if you're trying to be first to mkt with a commercial orchard. I wish you good luck, anyway.
