We seen on you-tube that you can open canned goods from the store with out a can opener. Wanted to see for ourselves so at our son's 14th birthday party last night all the kid's were given a can good, beans, pork and beans, mushrooms ,corn , tuna and peas. All the kids from ages 11 to 19 were able to open their cans!!!!! Here's how: take can to garage or sidewalk and on top of the can rub back and forth really hard until you see the top rubbing off the squeeze the tar out of the top until it pops open. if not on first try ,rub the can on concrete again, then squeeze again. It works, you'll get it open! FACT YOU CAN OPEN A CAN WITH OUT A CAN OPENER!!!!

Yep, I can see that working. Course haven't tried it. But have opened many cans with my pocket knife. CF

I'll havta try this...(ifin we have a "can" in da pantry..dunno, we don't visit the canned food aisle very often... at very least it would keep the younguns occupied GH, maybe a weekly "Fact or Fiction" I think that would make a nice thread

It was fun just finding out if this works. Yes Pharmer Phil we to had to dig to find those cans. We can in glass around here. O.k. so I just seen this and yes we would love to try new things. Anyone have something they want to have us try to do for FACT OR FICTION?
