my corn has red tassels. I bought the seed from Patriot Supply and it's called "Sweet Corn". Don't know a thing about it. I'm used to golden tassels that turn brown. How do I know when this red tassel corn is ready?

Still "pointy" = Not ready Roundish (blunt) = ready we have two varieties..one with golden tassels and one with reddish

thank you. I don't think I planted the seeds close enough because a big wind, which we have all the time, blows them over. In fields where they are close they stand better. I followed directions.

When yer corn blows over never try to stand it back up......most times it will break........leave it be and it will stand back up on it's own.
