Well folks not sure what will happen next year.As you know my niece's hubby is stationed at Fort Hood . In January he will be getting out of the Army He is taking classes in software development and hopes to land a job in that field. There is a chance we will return to Michigan or Ohio but just not sure. Michigan Brat's hubby is from Arkansas and they may move there but it is hard to say. One other hitch is my BIL got in a car accident a few weeks ago and his van got totaled. He is ok thank God and one of his co-workers picks him up in the morning but it is a real drag. This is one of the big reasons we do not know if we will be in Texas this time next year. I hate the not knowing part cuz as you may know here we need to have our plants ready for plant out in March.Which means start trolling seed catalogs and web sites and looking through the seed collection now through the time new catalogs are mailed and put on the Net.
So there we are.I hope for something positive and we get answers to all these questions soon so we are prepared for next year

Here is a bit of an update. It looks like we will be returning to the Bryan/Williams County Ohio area around late January or February. We are all looking for a home in that general area. Also this will give me more time to set up things for the garden and get my remaining tools there. It is a mutual with the family as most of our relatives and friends are in NW Ohio and SW Michigan. Also I talked it over with my niece and if we find a place with land we will do some market gardening and more than likely have chickens for eggs which we hope to sell also.I know it will not take off right away but if we can get a good harvest with quality produce along with the eggs we could generate a little extra income. Any advice or help in this area would be great.
As some here know we do have experience with small livestock and certainly gardening so we are pretty excited about the prospects with this idea.

Arggggggggggggg I hate not knowing. Everything is still up in the air.Looking at getting tomato and pepper seed order together just in case. Another problem is the darn dogs got in to my main part of the seed collection and scattered seeds to the four winds. Most of my major varieties are gone so it will be a scramble . Found The ones I grew in Michigan except for a few. Thank goodness I don't need Squash, melons, cucumbers and pumpkins right away or I would be in a real pickle no pun intended..
