Yes,FAT is healthy.Carbs are = to eating sugar.Had for dinner,Fasting AM Blood Glucose next AM was 84!! We used this recipe,only change we made was flipping over crust when it came out of oven www.dietdoctor.com/recipes/fat-head-pizzaCrust after 10 minutes,we flipped it over.... Add sauce and sauteed toppings,spread them around... Add cheese,we used a prepared bag that had 4 different Mexican cheeses... Ready to eat... We would add less cheese topping and add more veggies. It doesnt need all that cheese,its very cheesy as from crust.Next time add just enough cheese to keep veggies in place and lightly covered.

Yeah,thats pretty good.I did the tacos with cheese shells,pretty big load of cheese.Yup,tonight I had tacos with corn tortillas.Not ideal,but corn doesnt hit my sugars too hard.Dont make a habit of it for sure.What do you think of the dark chocolate,last time only found 75%,I like up to the 85.Darker the better,yumm!
I dont care much for the cauliflower doughs in general,or the coconut or such,sweetness isnt right.Therefore bread is off my table,darn it.But a burger with the trimmings,minus bun,on a plate,that works for me,yumm again!
I just ordered some sugar free catsup to try.Cant see why it needs fructose.

This thread is kinda fun , and I believe we will all gain info and GOOD health from sharing Seems the nutritional values are all over the place. I realize there is other concerns (fat, fiber...) I need fiber...or so the Doc says...fat....nope no needy fatty I checked out Spuds original link (Diet Doctor) and they say the carb count for 1/2 a Fat Head pizza with toppings is : 9 grams pizza with toppings is : For 1/6th, of the crust ALONE -no toppings , the carb count is: 4.35
So, I searched for a nutritional value for the Whole Wheat crust I make for Us... I couldn't find one (still searching)........................... Ok, had to take my recipe (PER INGREDIENT) and try to figure.. seems no one THINKS you can make pizza dough without sugar or oil..But I do! so this is what I come up with. 1 Cup Whole Wheat flour...110 carbs. 1/2 packet rapid rise yeast...0 carbs 1/4+ a pinch of salt....0 carbs water...zero anything (or at least I hope so) so, If I make the dough, (this is for a 8 inch crust) I have 110 grams of carbs. If we ate a half of the pizza Crust-alone we would have consumed 55 grams of carbs per person... This is not the case though, we typically have 1/4 each, so that would be 27.5 grams of carbs each If FAT was a concern Mine has 6 grams...the Fat head looks to be very fatty So, My take is this, I have tried the keto breads, rolls, and dough's of various types...and with them, afterwards...I CRAVED a fatty carb laden dish.because, I didn't get any satisfaction!!, it just wasn't the same. and I would be apt to eat a whole damn pizza as revenge.
Therefore I stay with the WW dough...and have 2 slices...Max...complete satisfaction.
Their comparison though is pizza crust made with soybean oil, sugar...not happenin' in my dough

I just ordered some sugar free catsup to try.Cant see why it needs fructose. I agree on the fathead and coconut flour .. Last night i mixed almond and coconut and it was pretty good .. I will try just almond flour next time ..i dont like the cauliflower crust much either 😬 I have only been at this since New year's day ... So havent tried much chocolate but the Sf Hershey bars are pretty good ...made keto brownies and used the chocolate bar as frosting .. I also use a keto tortilla recipe ... I will post what i have soon

Yes,we will be all over the place on this and our dietary choices.Im in this group...fat and proteins are essential nutrients,carbs are not.Carbs are sugars.T2 diabetics cant handle sugars....Therefore only carbs i will eat,mostly most of time ,are going to be unprocessed in fruits and veggies that come with fiber. Subtract fiber from carbs for total carb load.Rare cheat days....carbs happen.
Now if they quarantined my area,like happening in Italy Im reading (true?) then bring on the bread,beans and rice.
Another thought,just because our sugars are controlled or quite decreased doesnt mean we havent already done a lot of damage and may reap that reward no matter what we do now.Point being,far be it from me to denigrate anyones preferences for sure ,none of us know where this will lead for us.For sure,fructose and sugars are bad choices we all know that.Just dumping sugars alone and doing nothing else has to be an improvement.

I think I went from 10.3 to 5.6 last a1c but I was super strict keto on that one,pretty sure next one will be up from that.
