Don't have a clue where this one should be posted. We use powdered lime to spinkle on cabage, cucmbers, basically any vining crop. Anyone else tried it. We have done it forever. Ya right last 35 years. Some days seem like forever. Have had preety good luck keeping the bugs in check. Either they don't like the taste or the feel on their body. Biggest downfall is you have to reapply after every rain.

I'm sure this works especially for slugs and snails. We also use it here to keep ticks out of the yard and it is good to get rid of fleas in your yard too.
