We grow about six or seven rows of em. We have reds for early potaotes. THe whiles came from Hollanndale, Mn. Can't remember the name but they really get big. Like to plant some golden yukons also but they don't keep as well. Also plant a half a row of russets.Oh ya they is kennebacs, the white ones. Always try to plant some on Good Friday. If ya want to store em plant em in late May. Cut em up a few days before ya plant them but on occasion we have sat down at the garden and cut and planted the same day. They grew but some did rot. We just went back and put another eye in missing spots. Wife has also planted potatoe peelings and got respectable tators.

Is it true that if you spread pine needles in the bottom of the trench, it will enhance the growth and production??
