Well I took the plunge today and spent all my money on a new motor for the troy and a used riding lawn mower. Then went home and finally realized that squeal wasn't a slipping belt on my truck but most likely a bad water pump. So I'm blessed twice and cursed once but that's ok cause it ain't like I don't have transportation to work....for now lol. Sure hope that rider is a good one, I'm looking for a little easier life this summer. And a new rototiller(like new) will be so sweet. Have a good day all.

well it's still getting betterand I must really be getting lazier(is that a word?). I was so sure it was a pumpo I didn't look but today when I see something hanging under the truck I see it is.......a schredded belt, so twelve dollars later I've got a much smaller job to do and all is well for now lol. I din't know much bout gravely but heard good things bout em, gravely been around for along time I think. Have a good day all.

Thanks there Cavey and Lucy, I'm just glad the truck keeps running andhope the same for the rider. It's a 98 but hopefully still has some time left. Had my first big test mowing a yard with healthy, healthy grass, fertilized by three really big dogs and they don't clean it up so the s*#* was flying today lol. Have a good day all. And don't believe what "they" say, I'm telling ya spring is at the door. Yeaaa

Gravely zero turn. Very nice mower! Only problem was the blade belts kept jumping off the pulleys. A new set of guide wheels on the deck solved that problem. Nothing elsa wrong in the last two years of opperation.

Could of been worst! Our car needs a water pump, and our mechanic can only find a new one for $300.00! $800.00 total with labor, too much for us! We told him to keep looking for a used one!

Wow MickyG, that's bad news. We have that kind of mechanic here as well. We only have one and he is way too high, no offence to any mechanics out there but for poor folks like me and many others on this phorum that's absurd to pay twice as much for labor as the part. Course thats why they get the big bucks to do what we don't know how to do or don't have the time but many times its cheaper to buy a different vehicle. You should check out police sales or other auctions. I hear there are big bargains to be had but again its "buyer beware". Good luck and hope you all have a decent day.
