Had a minor procedure done yest. but as soon as I came home, I started shaking and chilling so bad, I put on sweats and got under the cover and this went on for close to an hour. Then I was burning up with fever. Then I was just exhausted, sore and had a headache. Woke up early this morning, chilling again, and then the fever again. And it has been that way all day, plus upset stomach and headache. I am up and down, I get so tired of wollering in that bed I gotta get out a while. But it's time to hit it again.

Lucy, no matter what the procedure, it sounds like you may have something amiss, did you call your Dictor about these symptoms? Just wondering I knew this guy once that had infection set in after he had a simple procedure, and he became very ill, same symptoms as you are having...take care Lucy... |

Yep. Time to call the doc.
He will want to know what your temp is. I believe a low temp is not a cause for concern: after my sons surgery they told us to report any fever over 101.
It is still time to call the doc.

I hope you get better quick, Lucy! Could it be you are allergic to the anesthesia or some med. they gave you? Hope too that you called your doctor. Thoughts are with you.

I feel better today. No fever and no upset stomach. Just weak and sore and slight headache. So I hope I am getting back to normal. My friend had the same procedure a few wks ago and had the same symptoms afterwords not as severe as mine tho, and I didn't call the Dr cause I was too sick to go sit in the ER and wait. Here the ER's are packed with people, my father-in-law waited in a waiting room for a bed for 6 hrs the other day. I was just too exhausted to do that. But I think I am on the mend now, hopefully. Thanks everyone!

I am happy to hear your doing a little better Lucy. If you get sick again run this all by the doc. Sometimes they will call ahead to the ER and get you in a bit earlier than if you had not called. Or instead of the ER try and urgent care thing. I hope you keep getting better.

thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I feel pretty much back to normal just weak. I was supposed to take it easy for a wk and tomorrow is a wk. So, I think, I am ready to get up and go. Tho, this evening, I got weak and laid down for a few min. I Thank God I am better and hopefully the next procedure is easy and quick. thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers.

To ease everyones minds I have felt fine today. I went to town and then stopped by my best friends for supper. I even took a short walk. So, I think I am pretty much back to normal. Thanks again for everyones thoughts, prayers and concern.

Thanks, Thanks and Thanks. Again today I have felt fine. I went to a fish fry and then came home and helped wash Dustin's jeep and scrub the pool cover. So I am ok.

Thanks CP, tonight we went on a short 4 wheelin' trip and built up a fire sat around awhile. Then came home cooked out and had a great time. I feel fine.

Everyone should know that anytime a hospital procedure is done a high risk of Staph infection is there. It's spreading in the hospitals now. Glad to hear you are better, but if things are not normal, I'd contact your Dr.
