It's pretty close to robin size, which is what throws me off. THese aren't good enough pics to show very well this size, we'll see what you think.... It also probably doesn't help that I took these from inside and my windows are filthy!

Here's another one that's similar that I don't think I've ever seen before We've had so many awesome birds frequenting our feeders- house and gold finches, tree sparrows, Orioles who happen to make a beautiful call btw, red bellied nut hatch, chickadee, red winged black bird, hummingbird, red headed woodpecker, cardinal and these two!

It is a Red Breasted Grosbeak. They have been here over the past weekend..& are still keeping us company! Beautiful birds!!

The first picture is the female rose breasted grosbeak, the second set the male. the third,Looks like maybe a towhee, hard to see in that picture but the bit of white on the wing makes me say towhee.

Thanks! The last one is hard to see, it has mostly a mousey brown color, with a little tuft on it's head and a brownish orange around it's sides.
