Dustin is going to camp for the first time. He came home on Fri wanting to go and it starts Mon. He wasn't registered and we are not prepared. But we called and they had an opening so he can go. I am not so happy about this. I know he will have fun but I am gonna miss him so bad. He can't take his phone and I hate that. I understand why but I would like him to have it if he needed it. School went out on the 4th and the 5th he went to a Paintball/campout birthday party. We took him and 2 of his friends to drop them off. Bub didn't have any equipment. We bought a $22 mask and $12 for paintballs, coudln't afford the guns. Well, the 2 that rode w us got guns. So when we dropped them off, I told Darrell lets go get him a gun. I don't want him to be the only one without one. So, I called him and he sd to get one with black not silver cylinders.(OK, I was totally lost) but they only had the ones with silver. But he had a great time, everybody took turns using the guns that was there. He got shot in the leg and has a bruise but he sd it was well worth it cause he ambushed the other team. lol But I called him 5 or 6 times. 2 or 3 were about the guns but I could check on him or he could call me or my neice who lived 5 miles away. So, the way I'm gonna get thru this wk I guess is to tell myself that my Bubby only lives a few miles from this camp and if he needs him, he can be there quickly. I know he is 13 but he is still MY BABY! I know alot of people do not agree with children having cellphones but Dustin has had one for over 2 yrs. He takes it to school every day. He does nt use it but if he needed to he could. The first time he went to spend the nt with a new friend he took it and we told him to call us and we'd be there in 10 min. He doesn't text. We don't have that but we can stay in touch.
