It phinally rained here!!
We are way low on moisture this year. A good 4-6 inches for the year.
Now that the little plants have had a drink from the heavens they will improve greatly. Pics to follow..

Laura, If I could..I would be glad to send you that extra 4-6 inches ya'll need. We have had days around here where we are getting 4-6 inches in a day!! That is just the way it goes. 2 years ago we were in a severe drought and all the farmers around lost their crops and all the cattle farmers were in a crises and selling-out due to no hay or feed...last year was OK..not too wet, not too dry..this year is ALL we are getting around here!!

Last year was a horrible year for us .. I lost just about all my tomato's none of my peppers really grew due to the rain .. this year its not been raining too much but we could use a shower or 2 (as long as its at night )

Hope your weather improves for you RMB .. I know how you must depend on the weather to feed your family ..

We got all together so phar 1 & 1/2 inches of rain.
The plants are loving it. Now we need a bit of heat..
It sure was nice to have some decent rain fall though.

Laura, I wish I could package up some of the 90+ F (33 C) weather we have done here and send to you. Then you can send me some rain. I have cracks in my yard that are approaching 2 inches wide. With the wind and high temps, the black clay dries out fast. At least the garden is doing good.

Can you tell we are getting some more much needed..

We actually have puddles all over the yard. & the driveway looks like a huge bird bath!!
However..the garden really needed some of the real rain..not outta da hose..
We will post pics of the garden when we are able to walk in there. Next few days we have quite a few chances for rain..but the temps are going up & so is the Humidity..

3 tornado warnings last night but all is well. We needed the rain but not the HEAVY kind. I gotta muster up the nerve to go look at my veggie garden and see if I still have one. Have a great day in your neck of the woods.

I kinda wish the rain would hold off a little, or at least let up! It's been raining so hard my taters are flopping and lettuce is going to waste faster than it should.

Now, I hate to be one to complain about the weather but really! It's not raining but it's so dang hot and THICK! I walked through fog last night just walking across my yard. My windows were fogging up. Supposed to be worse today....

Hotter then heck here..the heat index was 117° today..the real temp was 95° then it cooled down 25° in a matter of an hour. & it rained & thundered & the lighting came through.

, The heat index was hotter up there then down her 2-day. The official temp was 100 F - 38C, but the heat index was 103F. Supposed to be in the triple digits all week. Guess summer id here.

Its going to be another hot one here today, upper 90's and add humidity.
The AC's are running, so the house is nice and cool.
