Gulf oil disaster

This is trully a disaster that we have not even began to understand.Our son-in-law in the Keys is getting along with other captains ,customer after customer cancelling charter trips afraid the water and fish are not safe. They are offered if you qualify $5000.00 for the whole season.$5000.00 for a 150.000 to 200,000 season.I don't know if they get more at a later date or not.
It's only going to get worse as time shows all the true damage out there.
We are talking decades not seasons. His pan handle season is gone 100% to.That's where the oil is now. They ahve no idea with us suppose to ahve a very hard hurrican season what thats going to add to the problem also.
He's on his way back here because he's lost so much money so far he's thinking maybe going on the road trucking for a while.
Hard way to start a new married life but they'll get thru .
Some times I wonder,was it planned,just part of weaking our economy more?

The events since 9/11 certainly leave us with lots of questions, but the economy has been on a collision course for longer then that we just were not prepared as common folks to deal with it because we were all lied to and deceived by big business and our politicians. This thing has been growing like a cancer since the dollar value has been changed from gold and silver to federal reserve notes. Also Governments big spend,spend policies have crippled our ability to recover from any other economic disasters that we have been faced with, and now global economy has a stronger effect on all of us.

Look at the history of Germany's economy before WW-II , and the collapse of the Roman Empire. Just to name a few. Were we are headed is not a good place for sure I only hope some how we are able to get our selves back to a self sufficient society for our children sake.

I remember when the Japanese were really taking it to us.Some bigshot over there said "Dont worry America,we still need you.We will help you with your decline" Shortly thereafter Japan went into an economic decline they still havent recovered from.

Same can happen with China too,they think they are a big deal,when the first world stops buying their cheap JUNK that too shall pass.

I see us in a 1929 style depression.Remember also they didnt know they were in a depression either until the late stages,we are following the same path with the great RECESSION talk,this is the big deal now.

We weathered that,and we will weather this.

The thing that kills me is people with the no regulation attitude on business,that they will act in our interests if we give em unfettered riegn.THEY WONT! Greed will be the order of the day,and we will all suffer for the few elite while we ourselves and our countries get raped by the powerful few.We need to keep em in check,or the oceans will indeed run red,the air will be unbreathable,etc etc etc.

If it were planed then we all go down together rich and poor, the depression of 29 was due to failed banking not the worlds market and commerce as we are faced with today our national dept is beyond anything they could imagine in 29 this runs much deeper and has taken longer to realize then any one knows. Our Gulf will soon be running BLACK! Do I sound like a dooms day alarmist...well someone better be hearing me because this ain't no simple solution, and we are back on our feet.

I pray that God still has this society in his good graces so we have the help that we need to get out of this, because this is no solution that man can do on his own.

Supposedly all is fine at the bank,new owners,thats it.Just makes me wonder when the bank holiday comes and we all lose it all?(The Uber Rich immune of course,hell they are the ones who will order it,they will be quite safe when it happens)

well REGARDLESS,IT'S HERE AND WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT.
I JUST PRAY WE STILL ARE AMERICA WHEN WE COME OUT OF IT AND NOT CHINA!!!!!!!
I USE TO FEEL BAD WE DID NOT HAVE ALTO FOR OUR KIDS GROWING UP.we HAD EACH OTHER AND PLAYED GAME BOARDS AND READ BOOK SERIES AT NIGHT BY THE WOOD BURNER AND LIVED A SIMPLE LIFE.
WE WERE SELF SUFFICIENT FOR THE MOST PART,FOR OUR FAMILY OF 7 WE SPENT $12.IO A WEEK AT THE GROCERY STORE EVER THING ELSE WE GREW,BARTERED OR MADE ENOUGH IN OUR COOP TO PAY FOR OURS.
just TODAY MY DAUGHTER TOLD ME ,"THANK YOU MOM,FOR TEACHING ME WHAT AND HOW YOU DID,WE WOULD NOT BE MAKING RIGHT NOW IF YOU HAD NOT!!"
