I had an old roll of sheet metal, drywall screws, and some boards in the garage sitting so I decided to try making a solar over for this summer, not sure if it will work, will need to test it in the sun with a thermometer

hey, Ya know, someone in our lil commune had a lil bitty solar oven back in 1970, we cooked a chicken in it, took awhile, well actually it took a LONG while... always wondered about the safety issue of keepin a chicken at a warm temp fer that long... but no one got ill...course, back in those days, we probably wouldn'ta noticed anyway But that looks Real good Douglas, and larger than the one I mentioned, let Us know how it worked

All I'll use it for is stuff like cake, muffins, and soups unless it gets hotter then what I thought it would The sun just peeked out so I'm going to test it out.

With the prices of N G going up we been trying to cut back in every way, who knows what will happen within the 10-20 years down the road with electric, gas, and water prices?

Many many years ago, I used ta work for an outfit that built them solar heater panels that bolted on the side of houses. We painted everything cept the glass, Flat Black. Black was the asorber. (spelling?)
I bet them black or dark colored enamelware muffin pans (or cake pans) would work great.

It got around 180 when it was in the "60's out side so it should be hotter when it climbs in the "80's this summer
