My murdered neighbor's house is on the market. Of course, they did have a cleanup crew in right after the murder scene was released, and everything in the living room was removed, the area thoroughly cleaned, new carpet, etc. installed. My question is : If you knew that someone had been murdered there, could you buy the house??? It is a beautiful house with over 7 acres and several outbuildings. With Da Honey and myself being somewhat sensitive to the "Other Side" and negative vibes, I don't think we could. I feel that even having the house cleaned and blessed by a Priest could not remove ALL the negative energies. So what's your opinion???

Good Point Jack OOB, Bro I figure this, good, bad, evil...You & I are old enough... we seen much of each... and in some instances (speaking of myself here) Been some of each I figure when I go into anywhere...that negative vibes, underworld beins...best go on about their own beeswax and leave this old rounder alone... besides, Making the Realtor WELL aware that You know the house's history...should yield a hellofva discount.. I would HIRE a cleaning company though

No problem for me, as where I live now the police had to shoot and kill a man here.

I too would have to walk about the place and get a feel for it but I don't think it would be an issue at all. After all, there's not many spots on planet earth that SOMEONE hasn't died.

I know of a house where a child disappeared and the body never found. The police had combed the house and property thoroughly for clues of course. But the people who bought the house from her family lived there for many years but never went up in the attic.
I'm not sure I would want to know....

I would probably buy it for the land alone. If you have a problem with the house, you can always tear it down and replace it with a new one.

I would probably buy it for the land alone. If you have a problem with the house, you can always tear it down and replace it with a new one. It don't work that way CP .. The "spirit" will stay no matter what .. thats its home . Just because there are no longer walls does not mean he / she doesn't have an attachment to the land itself .. See like My home .. I think the husband may of died here .. not sure never checked into it nor do I care to .. but I hear HEAVY boot steps in my house when nobody is home .. I have heard Male voices .. I also have a Woman in my house tho I KNOW she didn't pass here but this has always been her home .. heard her talk about a month ago me and my husband both .. he thought it was a tv or something in the house and ran all over there was NOTHING or nobody in the house when we both heard it .. a few weeks later we hear footsteps upstairs .. kids were at grandmas house and nobody else was in my house .. we were down stairs in the basement .. heard the footsteps move closer to the stairs then on the stairs .. heard a coin drop and FOUND a penny on the floor where we heard it .. heard some footsteps closer to the washer and drier ( the opposite side of which we were sitting smoking Cigs and talking ) So Keith calls out it ( whom ever He she it was ) " hey we are not affraid of you " " ya wanna come over and hang out " " knock once for yes and twice for no " there was a knock for sure along with some shuffling as "it" came closer .. Keith also asked "it" if it would like a smoke.. another knock .. so Keith lite smoke and set it in the tray . we continued talking amongst ourselves .. Pretty soon we see the smoke from the cig go like it was being blown through a straw .. Like straight up and - at a 90 degree angle .. it was wierd .. we have had many experiences here in this house but that was one of the more strange of the situations BUT I have Never felt threatened or like anything was going to hurt me

Da Honey and I aren't looking to move anywhere (unless we hit the lottery!). My older brother, being the curious sort, called the Realty Company listed on the For Sale sign. (Even though he and SIL are not looking to buy either) - The house and acreage is listed at $141,000, but the realtor did state that the price was very negotiable. No statement of any kind about the fact that a murder had been committed there.
Before Da Honey and I bought our place, we checked out the house (3 years old at the time) - no problems. We also walked the entire property and felt no negative "vibes". One area of the back yard felt so peaceful and serene with extremely great vibes - was one of the deciding factors in our decision to buy - glad we did!
FYI, our neighbor Ms. Kay who was murdered - at one time owned this acreage. She's the one who sold it to the couple who built our house, and subsequently sold to us. His father had passed, and they needed to move closer to his mother who needed to be looked after.
Rita, I would love to visit your place - we love "happy contented spirits"!

No statement of any kind about the fact that a murder had been committed there. They have to disclose here in Canada, if there has been a murder in the house, if not, the person buying can back out, and sue the real estate agent for not disclosing the info.

Not sure, would definitely have to feel it out! Have lived in several places where people have died, and have had my fair share of "strange" experiences.
