What's a garden without punkins? Guess it is a garden without punkins. No garden is complete with punkins. You may want to reconsider. The plants may be lonely without dem punkins.

Thank you deb for stating "Jeanette no no no no no no no no CHEMICALS" You just made my day. Glad to hear we have another organic person on this fantastic site. I grew the mini punkins one year and had a fun time doing it. Hope your garden does great this year.

The worst part oph chemicals is they get into what you eat iph you use them in a garden. They also kill off all the good micro organisms. When we were looin for a house we made sure there were no fields near by. That way no over spray from the farmers fields. Dad uses chemicals on his farm, but I keep trying to change his mind.

I have about a half a pound of mini pumpkin seeds. Youngest daughter bought several last year as decorations. I took them and scraped the seeds out and made pumpkins pies.. Maybe I should be sending you guys some.

I for one will never give up. Everytime you mention 'Those Nasty Chemicals' I will mention the 'Organic Way'. Some day we may be able to convert you. Just so the chemicals you apply don't get into the rivers and come down stream and contaminate my drinking water. I will not be a 'happy camper' Just wish we could prove to you that the organic way is better.

weeelpp what i do on my 3500sq ft is not going to effect the ground water, and if i want to grow a third eye ball, a third breast, a fu man chu mustache, or a fin on my back.. then i will!!!
accually i do understand and respect you for your beliefs..
but you see i don't till my ground i work it all up by hand, and if i can keep the weeds down by using round-up i will... round-up is post emergent.. it leaves nothing in the soil.. and then i use preen..
