Day six so far so good, almost the size of a bowling ball, with the heat we been getting I hope things keep going like they are or my goose will be cooked. Been giving them a good soaking trying to add a few more pounds This other plant is not doing very well in the heat and I seen no cuke beetles nor have I phound any borers in the vine as of yet. It wilts in the sun as if it's going to die but I been keeping up watering the stump and the main vine. I'm going to see about covering the whole plant with tarp or burlap to filter out some of the heat.

With the heat beating down on the plants it's been a battle Today should be the last day of high temps for a while so they will have a break for a few days

Day "13" and still holding out, still white as a ghost and shinny. No sign of any ribs yet This one seems to be holding out on the other plant so far so good. It looks as if this plant is starting to pick up a bit in growth

Well I pulled back the pumpkin a bit this morning to give it more room to grow away from the vine cause the shoulders are starting to expand some, can't have it tear off the vine

After the rain we been getting things are starting to pick up some, getting close to the size of a ten speed bike tire This one is the size of a football showing signs of growth also after the rain.
