Had ONE pumpkin, got about volleyball size and sit there....neva a good thing. Yesterday, the blossom end was shrunken...SO, Now, I am faced with a dilema Have three females that WILL OPEN TODAY... But, Hot weather is not condusive to pollination of these monsters... My only hope is that the flowers open before it gets to warm. Sun isn't on the punkies yet, it is now: 6:41 75°...don't look good pholks. and itsa gonna get Temp...triple digits, heat index ...around 115 Wish me Luck Pholks, I still have time fer the October weigh-of sbout an hour from here......

Someone showed me that if you freeze water in some bottles or jugs and place them around yer female flower with some shelter er covering it should knock down the temps a bit

Best time to use sevin is in the evening when da phlowers are closed up I would place a lil straw around O bob to keep him moist on hot days More power to ya bro, hope you have alot of male phlowers hope all goes as planned We did have some hail this late spring but were pea size, thought it was all over with after dat Had a big wind a few days back and lost one of my best sunflowers
