White beady stuff on my vines?

I was out looking this morning, watering and such...I have a few pumpkin plants that turned yellow overnight, the vines look like they've been split open and there is clear/whitish beading like liquidy or something on the vines. I pulled them up because I didn't want whatever it was to infect my other ones. I pulled about 3 plants out! What could this be?

could be damage, could be disease...umm, Mickee, gotta Pic?
makes a diff, cause if something damaged it, you'll probably be alright, the latter...you won't!
