Here's the article:
R.I. Farmer Grows Largest Pumpkin POSTED: 5:42 pm EDT October 8, 2006 WARREN, R.I. -- A Rhode Island farmer may have set the record for the world's largest pumpkin. His prize gourd came in at over 1,500 pounds at the annual southern New England championship. State officials said that beats last year's world record, set by a Pennsylvania pumpkin. Ron Wallace's achievement comes despite heavy rains that have stunted pumpkin growth around the region. He chalks it all up to "a lot" of hard work, and being able to commit to the task from April to October. Copyright 2006 by The Associated Press. All rights reserved. It beat last years world record by Mr. Checkon from PA, which was 1469 lbs. The world record this year was grown on the 1068 Wallace 03 seed. I think it was selling for auction for over $400/seed this winter. Imagine what it will go for now. Ron's Dad grew a 1450 lber. off the same seed this year. Ron won the Topsfield fair with a 1347.5 lber, off the same seed as well, this year. What a year for the Wallace's, and what a seed the 1068 Wallace 03 is!

For $400 per seed. I think I would have a couple bronzed and mounted along with the picture. I can't imagine how big it must have been. Good work.
