The old barn. My itty bitty cottage. This pic is from last year, so you see those dorky looking chickens out by the stairs? They are gone. Just wanted to share one more pic. Thought this one was kind a cute...our visitors, they always left us alittle something behind!

You have a great lookin' place there MKG! Do you do daycare, or are the yard toys for the grandkids?

Ah Songbird? Have you been reading my mind? I have been talking about building a wrap around porch on this old house to my hubby. So far e's just letting me talk, talk, talk The barn is over 100 years old and it's built with tress from this homestead. also with rail road ties, since the man of the homestead back then worked for the railroad co. We know the neighbour down the road from us, his family owned this place. Boy has he given us a wealth of information on this place. He has told us about the barn, and who planted what trees, that this house was a log cabin, you can still see the logs they used in the basement. It's really nice to know our neighbour, I feel like we are the "care takers" of this place for his family. Oh yeah, there use to be 10 children and 2 adults in this itty bitty cottage! Where they all slept ....I haven't the foggy est idea! It's a 2 bedroom home.
