That snake is a Eastern Diamondback Rattler...
Ummm thier poisoness and they can leap the length of thier bodies by three times... That little bugger is about 3 feet long....
3 X 3.... oh boy I better move back huh?

I can see that you know what yer doin' when it comes to flowers!! Lovely!!! We have bull snakes here, and they are beneficial. I grew up with rattlesnakes in Wyoming, and sometimes I freak before i realize it's just a harmless bull snake! We found a big one in our front yard the other day!! My son wanted to take the head off, but i wouldn't let him. We carried it on a shovel to the drain in the street, and let him live. So what do you do when you find a rattler like that?
