I am rather tickled, as this is absolutely the FIRST time I have ever started anything from seed. The ones on the left are my hot peppers, toothpicks mark the peter peppers, the others are aji limon and bouquet peppers. I will isolate the peter pepper since I want to save seed. On the right are my sweet peppers which I started later - a coupla different bells and some paprikas. I also have several tomato babies which are just barely sprouted - I'll post pics of those later on. Life is good....

Well, I got 'em all snuggled into der 4 inch pots watered with weak fish emulsion. Went ahead and transplanted the larger 'mater babies as well - I figured what the heck, as long as my fingers were dirty. Oh, and I carefully removed the webbing from da peat pots, too. Got 'em all on da work table in da computer room under da grow lights, which are two of the "full spectrum" desk lamps. The table is also in front of a south facing window. On the left you'll see one of da Honey's candytuft lilies she started from seed - those will be transplanted into pots sometime tomorrow....

But of course, Bro - the motto around here is Reclaim, Recycle, Reuse and Renew! (ya might could say I'm recycled myself!) The plastic fastfood containers even get brought home, washed and used - the clear plastic ones from Arby's make jim dandy "mini greenhouses". I even save my oxygen hoses which get changed about once a week for sanitary reasons. Trying to figure out a way to make a drip irrigation system wid 'em. at the least, they'll be good for making trellises or plant ties!
