Gidday I am just about sick of bloody wind. We seem to be gettin far too much these days. It was a bit cooler today, but yesterday wind gusts to 87mph and temperature of 80. But as I am working in a vineyard at the moment, I suppose the view is a bit of a compensation.  Looking up to the vineyard from the road.  Looking down the valley  and swinging around across  up the valley  and towards the mountains. I suppose if I was shut in a bloody office all day I would have something to grizzle about. |

I know how that feels, but sure haven't faced winds that high all day. Thank goodness since I was walkin walls building houses.  |

Jack...awesome photos, which island do you live on now? I have a gal pal who lives on the south island......beginning of spring, so nice. I guess you could carry an anchor to keep yourself firmly on ground, wow those winds are awful.

Oh - My - Word...!!!!! That is Just B ~ e ~ a ~ u ~ t ~ i ~ F ~ u ~ L......  I Just love it...   Now, Where Did you say I could Put My Home at... Right by those Mountain Bases.. That'll work out Just Fine.. I'll Even let you Borrow Cavey to help you in that Vineyard.... He's got enough B**r Belly on him to hold him Down... Just let him Knock down one of two of those Frosty FOST*Rs and He'll be ready to Roll....LOL  No Really, what a Georgeous View.. but I guess your right it Does Kinda Balance Out... have to take the Good With the Bad..I guess... You can Keep that wind.. and I though Ohio was bad for wind.. they've got nothing on you all....Good Luck With it.. |

Betty, this is in the South Island of New Zealand. To be more specific, the Waitaki Valley.
One thing good about here is it is very dry and that makes it dificult to farm unless you have irrigation, but the Good Lord gave us plenty of water in the Waitaki river.
