Well today I finished weeding between a lot of the seedlings took 3 1/2 hours .. boy is that a daunting task have to do it all by hand but its done and my hoe is now my best friend .. going to move my onions tomorrow to consolidate room and plant corn where they are .. just too much wasted space .. but I got a few more hills of cucumbers planted and some more summer squash .. I also got my pole and black beans going .. got a few peppers already and have a bunch in bloom .. tomato's are flowering as well .. peas are in flower .. so I am hoping for a nice productive year this year .. OK is it ok to use your NONE flowering/ seediing weeds in a walkway path ? Most of the ones I pulled I just tossed in the path hoping to smother anything that may be growing in there .. and I was too tired to pick them up Next is to dig out all the yard weeds .. have some freaky ones thanks to the neighbors I am soooooooooooo tempted to go spray their whole yard with super salt water

Sounds like you have been busy busy Rita......its so maddening when people dont look after their lawns, and their weeds make themselves home on your lawn that you do look after.
Me too, i am hoping for a much much better year this year, crop wise, i have lots of flowers on my peppers, tomatoes, beans, and the peas are a few days behind, but are getting there, the cukes are doing amazing as well.............cant wait to pick some fresh veggies!!

Looks awesome Rita!! I need some of them tomato cages! I like your green bean set up. pretty cool. alls i got are tree branches Maybe your neighbors dont have a mower or weedwacker? nevermind. i see some of their grass cut in the back side yard, so WTH? maybe there's flowerbeds unweeded? I was thinking of last year when the ex left n took our mower, our yard looked like a freekin field! ,,,,thought maybe your neighbors didnt have one. mallow is kinda like malva..its a flower, never herd of a mallow tree. ya got a pic Wrennie? I got bout 40 diffrent flower seeds n seedlings planted today. those are in 3 beds. got 3 beds weeded n ready, redid one bed. have 4 more to go...... veg is doing ok. couple onions are wanting to flower. should i cut them off? it needs weeded again. the weeds arnt bad its the thistles! soon as some of the plants get a lil bigger im tossin down thick news paper n hay!

my garden accually looks pretty good this year.. better living through chemistry, ( i know it's cheating)... last year i bought the biggest tomato cages ever and the mates grew right out of it.. this year i used the cages for my snap peas, hopefully it will work.

Rita the garden is lookin good very neat and well maintained. As far as neighbors go we have them on both sides. weed ville on one side and dog and cat ville on the other, but they don't bother me and I don't bother with them.

The more I look, the more overlapping information I get. Maybe tree mallow is rose mallow. 2 names for the same thing I guess either way they're a lavateraYour garden looks great Rita! All that hoeing really pays off, huh?
