Just got a currant bush. Dont know what kind. How do I care for it?

currants huh...gotta be red or black unless they came up with a different one They need full sun and damp but not waterlogged soil feed them good organic ferts and throw in a lil bone meal...and yer in there Wrennie they are too bitter to munch by themselves, but very good in sauces and jams

There are black white and red.
I don't know about the white but the red and the black currants are pruned exactly the opposite as one fruits on spures on old wood like apples and the other fruit on the new wood.

Well the berries look white, unless they'll color as they mature. I'll have to wait & see
