Since Ruth has nursed our poor looking tomatoes back to great health I decided to foliar feed them last night since they are starting to set lots of blossoms. I wasn't going to foliar feed this season since I am concerned about early blight, but decided to try doing this once when the plants set buds and again when they start setting fruit. I have to say after I looked at the plants this morning they look almost purple they are so green, I was amazed how quickly they responded to the combination of Neptune's harvest and Maxi crop Kelp. I am also amending the soil around each plant on a weekly basis.

Way to go JC. Keep it up and your mater plants will be thanking you for the delicious treat. Foliar feeding does wonders. I swear my garden thanks me after I am finished and walking away.

Hey Richard, know any cheap sources for the Maxi Crop kelp? preferably CLOSE to Minnesota... It isn't that expensive, can get a gallon of liquid for about 15 bux, but the shipping makes it 32 bux...and No one around here carries any type of Kelp, either powdered of liquid, unless You buy Kelp Powder at the health food store, and although I have used that, it's not as good as the liquid.

Phil, I'll do some checking down here as well. Hopefully I can find a dist in your area, so you don't have to drive up the the Cities.
I know the manager of a feed store in Plano, TX, that has a weekly, Sunday, radio program down here. He is originally from Illinois. I'll ask him if he might know of one for you.
