Wow! We've really received Grace this year! I have peppers and tomatoes on the vines, and they are actually healthier now than during the hot hot summer months!
Normally, we would have had a freeze already sometime in Sept!

yes it is nice Song, been getting alot of the late season stuff here the last couple weeks, the Fall crop of broccoli did so well, we may only plant a fall crop next year..Lettuce still out there doing wonderful...just did take out the peppers, they were still doing OK, but I know that I have but two or possibly three days before it starts raining...possibly snowing...and the garden needs turned under...the area that the brussel sprouts and the lettuce is in will be the only areas not tilled under by the end of this day

I have been leaving the vegetables in the garden for as long as I can: it is predicted that the temps go into the midthirties on wednesday so I MIGHT have to pick before then: we live in a slight frost pocket.
The last vegetables are as precious as the first ones!

After a summer of RAIN, RAIN, RAIN and a lousy, soggy garden, we've had no rain for the entire month (until today) and also have lots of maters and peppers on the plants! Go figure!

My tomatoes and peppers went into the compost pile yesterday. I still have a load of parsley and sage to bring in and dry. And my lettuce is good but small. Dont know if I'll get a salad out of it or not. Oh, and theres a couple radishes I can pull too.
