I wish I could fig. out how to post pic as garden was best ever this season. As far as the corn meal in the pig feed it did not prohibit germination except, most likely, the beans I planted that I couldn't figure out why they never sprouted. I applied a layer of alfalfa pellets then pig feed, bone meal, blood meal then forked that into the top 3 in. & soaked for a few days or more, before planting. Couple weeks probably be better. The only real probem was all the composted stable bedding I worked into the beds 2 ft deep initially caused the plants (especially tomatoes) to grow like crazy & some never had a tomatoe set till this day. I'd say 20 tons of compost went into the garden, about 5,000sf, plus a lot of nitrogen from the 4in layer of urine soaked shavings I used as mulch. From now on only adding compost, fert., etc. to top 3 in. soil. Been pulling out dead plants & planting Fall garden. I'm goin to try to grow most of our compst, fertilizer & mulch from here on. Happy Gardening!

Gidday
Well if your tomatos didn't set any fruit then it would appear that you had way too much nitrogen and not enough potash.

Yes, I figure too much nitro & heat as over 105 deg for a month & now cooler (didnt cool down till Sept) some plants getting good sized green tomatoes looking forward to some Fall/Winter ripe ones. Taking out some & planting Fall/Winter veggies.
