I'm trying to wait a few more days before I start tomatoes or peppers from seed but really want to get going on 2011's garden. Mine will be small this year so I need only a plant or 2 of each variety to live thru the seedling stage. Anybody else getting the itch?

The closest i got to actually gardening today was to water the indoor bonsai and write out to a fellow on OG how to set up a carrot bed.

I always thought somehow that going back in time would be different, oh well.... I am looking for my pepper plants to break the surface any minute now, been almost a week. They have bottom heat. Watching the mailbox for new tomato seeds too.

My peppers have the second leaves now, and I finally got the tomatoes planted in small pots this morning. If they take a week to come up they'll be nearly 8 weeks old when my plant-out date rolls around.

My tomatoes are up, both kinds. I don't think I'll re-pot tho. I only have a place for 2 plants of each (sad, I know) so I planted a pinch of seeds in each pot and will let them fight it out, lol. The biggest 2 on plant-outside-day will win a place, the rest will be lucky if they get planted anywhere at all.

Yeah Phil, we've had a fake spring for the last week or so. 60's and 70 a couple days. Rain today tho, 2-4 inches they say, possible large hail etc. I think we'll get one more good cold spell, maybe snow, before it's all over.
