Corn is wind pollinated. You want to know the DTM for all the corns so you can stagger them.If your sweet corn is early or late and plant the kids corn to take up the other end.
You really really want to get Suzanne Ashworths "Seed to Seed" from your interlibrary loan and take notes. When it comes to squash, mellon, gourd families.

Check your catologs and see if the kinds of squash and pumpkins are "maxima", or mixta, or moschata. some might be c.pepo. If they are in that same family they will mix. If one is mixta and the other is moschata, they won't mix. (So I was instructed) Get a Baker Creek catalog , it tells you which is which and you know if your seeds will be true or might have mixed.
I am having same problem, Two of what I want to plant r both "moschata" They will mix. So trying to decide which I want cuz I also want seeds.
