Any of y'all ever grown green or red bell peppers "in containers?" I've grown bells in the ground plenty of times, but never in containers. I thought I'd try a couple in pots this year. Specifically, I'm wondering... "What's the SMALLEST container I can successfully grow a single plant in, and still get a good yield?" (i.e. how deep of a pot, etc). Thanks phorum phriends! Holla!

I would say no smaller than a 2 gallon also Bro. A quick note here on containers that may be helpful to some... 2 gallon buckets...ask your Supermarket bakery, they have them that icing, etc. come in..usually free... same for 5 gallon buckets, ... Here's one that got Ol Laura laughing... we were out one day and SPIED a PINK echinacea that had escaped someones garden, and was along side of a road... We needed a container...
I WHIPPED da car...into a cemetery pulled up to the maintenance shack, spoke with a BEER BREATHED grounds keeper, and left with several large pots from their dumpster... Go to your local greenhouse and ask them if they have any they have thrown out... Or... The greenhouses purchase Blow molded plastic pots in quantities, in varying sizes... for a 3 gallon pot they pay LESS THAN a buck a piece for.. their typical (quantity price is 41.00 for 50) Ask them nicely and Most will sell you one for a small amount...

This year we shall see how well the Pinkechinacea does for us! I did think it was phunny we pulled in the cemetary to look for pots. But there was a huge selection of them & FREE.
