Nice old cabins....with nobody living in them I was thinking the same thing .. what a waste .. I really think if you find an old abandoned home you should be able to move into it and course pay the taxes .. as long as you improve on the home and land itself

NICE photos! You guys sure do go to a lot of cool places! Man, I really like those old cabins. That's the real deal too. My good friend Joe build one a lot like those. He did most all of it by hand (although he did use a chainsaw and a bobcat here and there). He has a site that teaches you how to build your own: log-cabin-adventures.com The pic at the bottom of the home page is his cabin. I helped him put the porch on. He even milled the logs/lumber right out there in the woods. That thing will be there for a looooooooong time.
