Cavey, nice tour. We never grew tobacco. I did have an Uncle that grew some one time. I was quite young at the time. He just grew it for himself. I do remember him plowing it with a mule. Nice photos thanks. CF

Nice pics Cavey. We just came back from KY and it looked like a poor year for tobacco in Barren & Allen counties. The crop was only half as tall as a normal year.

We used to have quite a good sized tobacco export industry from our provence of Nelson. But we are way too bloody P.C. to grow the stuff commercially now days.

Now thats some great pics Bro...Thanks for postin them...wished we woulda had a better climate here, I raised quite a bit of tobacco back a few years...couldn't get enough dry warm day to cure it...green baccy sure is hard to smoke

As everone can see, tobacco is a young man's job......in the first link you see it's only the young guys up in the barn with the old timers sittin around tellin'em what to do

As everone can see, tobacco is a young man's job......in the first link you see it's only the young guys up in the barn with the old timers sittin around tellin'em what to do Bro, I checked the link ...nice pics.....OK, I gotta say...I could still help hang the tobacco I just wouldn't be able to do anything the next day or two,, three..four...yeah probably 4
