To all my fellow veterans, thank you for your service and sacrifices.... Freedom is not free, some of our fellow brothers and sisters paid the full price. I honor their memories and hope they Rest In Peace....

I hope all have a good day today. It's good to have a special to remember, both the defenders and the defended.

I hope all have a good day today. It's good to have a special to remember, both the defenders and the defended. My wife and I went to Applebee's today for lunch, Ruth wanted to go because they were serving free lunch to those of us that are on active duty of veterans....such as myself. I was seated with Ruth when this stranger aproached us and said to me that she had just droped her daughter off and wanted to thank me for my service. I was very proud and pleased that this person took the time to thank me for serving our country after she left I said to Ruth how things have changed since I was discharged in 1967. I remembered the bus rid home from fort wadswerth were I was discharged. I sat with a fellow vetern and people were stairing at us like we were criminals at that time. The news was showing demonstrations of people calling viet nam vets baby killers and burning draft cards. It just felt so nice today having someone thank me instead of calling me a baby killer.
