Got my Diawa Minispin Ultralight rod.Use 4 lb test and 2 lb leader makes lake fishing a trout like landing JAWS. Had one of these 25 plus years ago,it was stolen when they stole my car. Runs about 40 bucks on Amazon,3 day to deliver,that was good!    ACTUAL Photo of Spuds with new rod....    |

Nice going Spuds, I have been wanting to go fishing. Maybe when it gets a little warmer. I love fresh fish. I like to fry them whole. Don't forget to post some fishy photos. CF

thats a nice rod Spuds ... Love the picture my hubs wanted one that broke down like that for his motorcycle .. May have to grab one soon .. anniversary is coming up |

Nice!!! Hope you land a big one! I need to give my buddy a call here soon. He said he's got a good spot for steelhead. I absolutely LOVE river fishing. |

Me either bro, it's been a couple...the reasons bein... Time..or timing..I'll explain below... Location...   Yes, yes we do have all those lakes... All of them are overgrown with Pond weeds, coontail,Water lilies,and Eurasian watermilfoil..to name a few by the time we are done putting in the garden... making fishing really tuff...ifin ya ain't got a boat...we do not have a boat... Most of em' have so many freakin houses around them that it's like  in the middle of a city...not my idea of relaxin... then... there's the issue of all those houses... and their  " additions" to the lake Back home we'd take poles, bait, a fryin pan, grease and fixins fer hush puppies... nothin else to eat... If ya do that here...you'll be eatin hush puppies the whole trip... Here...ya see peeps with dip nets the size of a small car...with one 1 pound fish on their stringer... Down home ya see peeps with NO dip net... wrestling ...fish da size of small cars Just "one mans opinion" |
