Whitey is about to have a calf anyday now son told me last night. His MIL cow. She is a white Scotist hylander. I told him I wanted to see it when it comes. Bull same breed. I have seen Shorty but he is not a baby. I was out there at Xmas and saw the cows. She also has a alf dozen big blackish hens. She has been giving me eggs , I saw my neighbors black 3 day old calf and he had ran off and was in my field. These she has are shaggy things. Shoty is being rasied for meat. Son will take me out to see it.

The others are brown . No calf yet and sure hope things go okay. I have no idea what color the bull was. I swear that white one looks a giant sheep.

Whitey had her calf today. I was not home so did not see it but was out to see the calf and it layed down and resting after eating and all. Her first calf. She seems to be a good mama and took care of it. I could not see it good and when up and around I will got see it. Very protective of it. It is brown. Paddy or Patty depending on which variety it is. Son was out to the farm burning and then ditching. The pasture. Soon be time to irrigation. The other cow is due later on. I took a box of candy out to proud new mom, MIL.
