Got a call from a neighbor...her son hates turnips/greens...did I want to come get them..give them to the cow or something...I had to laugh, went and got them...tasted a green, so sweet...she said, "Are you eating that uncooked ?" Yes, I tore off a piece and told her to chew on it...she had to agree...sweet, nice turnip taste...so I came home and cleaned turnip greens and turnips late last night....gave half to my friend who is having it tough...I gave her a dozen eggs last week, and baked her some bread today...tomorrow we eat greens, turnips, get out the homemade pepper sauce, and cornbread...Heaven is here..LOL
